Hello!

I'm Harry and I'm a Perfumer and Philosopher of Olfaction. In my career I've worked on briefs from the scent of Play-doh for an Artist's exhibition all the way to the smell of an old armchair for the launch of a flagship smartphone. I specialise in the weird and wonderful, helping brands and organisations to develop aromas which transport people to times and places.

Most of my work these days is about candles and cosmetics, working with new and existing brands to go from concept to completion. Adjacent to this, Iā€™m also passionate about the way our sense of smell works and so actively participate in research which attempts to figure out some of the mysteries of our noses.

Covid-19 Work

More recently this academic line of interest has become particularly prescient given what we know now about persistent anosmia and parosmia following on from Covid-19. Last year, I was asked by the charity AbScent to develop kits for them to be used by people to regain their sense of smell. These smell training kits so far have been a great success, and have helped thousands of people recover; so it means a lot for me to be able to have designed the scents for them.
